Chanel Vendetta, una decepción

Todas conocéis ya de sobra mi obsesión moradil. El caso es, que un día, hace ya dos años, decidí darme un capricho y comprarme un pintaúñas que llevaba mucho tiempo en mi wishlist. El pintaúñas en cuestión era el Vendetta de Chanel.

Fui a la tienda, lo vi, confirmé que era preciosísimo y me lo llevé. Sí, era preciosísimo, EN EL BOTE. En el bote era un morado oscuro con multitud de reflejos rojos, rosas, morados, plateados incluso. Cuando me lo puse en las uñas, resultó ser un morado casi negro, no se notaban los brillos NI POR ASOMO, de hecho si le preguntaba a la gente: ¿qué color llevo en las uñas?, me respondían: negro, ¿no?. Aparentemente sí.

No me entendáis mal, el color no me disgusta, pero sinceramente, me esperaba más, porque la verdad es que no son precisamente unos pintaúñas baratos. Y ahí no acaba la cosa, porque creo que de todos mis pintaúñas, es el que antes se desconcha con diferencia, y a mí normalmente me suelen durar bastante.

You already know I'm a sucker for purple everything. One day, two years ago now, I decided to treat myself and buy a nail polish which had been in my wishlisht for a long time. It was Vendetta by Chanel.

I went to the store and picked it up. Yes, it was awesome. IN THE BOTTLE. It was (in the bottle) the most beautiful dark purple with a lot of red, pink, purple and even silver shimmer. When I put it on my nails, it became a really dark (almost black) purple with no shimmer whatsoever. When I asked to people what colour they were thinking I was wearing, they said: black. Apparently, yes.

Don't get me wrong, the colour is nice, but I was expecting more, since this is not a cheap polish. And even worse, this nail polish has (compared to others on my collection) a really bad staying power, even on me, and pretty much all nail polishes last quite well on my nails.

Sí, es precioso en la foto. El flash hace que se vean algunos brillitos, al natural es como mi uña de arriba sujetando la botella...

Creo que de toda mi colección, es el esmalte que más me fastidia ver...¿por qué digo esto?. Porque me molesta verlo, pensar el dinero que pagué por él y la calidad que obtuve.

Favoritos de Febrero

¡Hola! Ya va siendo hora de mis favoritos de febrero :) Este mes no tengo demasiados porque prácticamente me he limitado a productos que ya tenía en favoritos (son favoritos por algo) o productos que he comprado recientemente pero de los que no tengo una opinión formada. Así que este post va a ser corto (en productos, que no en palabras).

Hi everyone! Time to share my February favorites :) This month I haven't been trying a lot of new products, just using some items that have appeared in previous favorites (that's why they're favorites) or things I'm trying for the first time and I have no formed opinion about, so this post is going to be quite short!

# Wet n' Wild Vanity palette: la he usado muchísimo. Tanto si se usa sola como combinada con otras paletas, tiene muchas posibilidades. Se puede usar sola para looks más neutrales, o combinada con otras paletas, por ejemplo la fila izquierda la veo ideal para: iluminar el arco de la ceja, difuminar la cuenca e integrarla con el párpado y la más oscura para oscurecer en el sitio que queramos. Además, es pequeña, así que es ideal para viajar. Yo ya no la guardo en mi mueble, la tengo siempre fuera, porque sé que haga el look que haga, probablemente la use.

I've been using this like...CRAZY. Every and each day. You can use it alone for a nice neutral look or you can use the matte neutrals which are perfect for base and highlight colour, crease colour and to deepen the crease, along with other palettes or eyeshadows. Moreover, it comes in handy if you travel a lot, because it has the right amount of both worlds in a little palette. I always have mine out in my desk, because I know I'll use it in every look.

# NARS "Torrid": esto no es una sorpresa para las chicas que me siguen en Facebook o las que participan en el hilo de NARS del foro Vogue. Tras una época de limitarme a los coloretes mates, me lancé a comprar este color preciosísimo, que vendría a ser el hermano coral y un pelín más subido del Orgasm. ME ENCANTA. Cuando no sé qué ponerme, Torrid al canto. Creo que se ha convertido en mi colorete favorito. Queda espectacular, al menos a mí me encanta en mi piel. Además, los brillitos que tiene no se notan prácticamente nada en la piel, sólo queda como el colorete más luminoso. Y si estando blanca nuclear (bueno, MI blanco nuclear) queda precioso, estando morena no me quiero imaginar! Una auténtica preciosidad :)

This one is not a surprise for the girls in Vogue forum, or the girls who follow me on Facebook. I've been limiting myself to matte blushes, because I don't like the disco ball look on my cheeks, but I treated myself with this beautiful colour (the more corally version of NARS Orgasm, and a bit stronger too). I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. When I don't know what to wear, I slap on this one and I'm good to go. The shimmer in it doesn't show up that much on my skin, it's more like a luminous glow if you know what I mean. Being as pale as I am right now (the palest I could be) it looks amazing, so being a little more tanned it would be amazing! I can't wait x)

# Make Up For Ever Sens' Eyes: no he visto muchas reviews acerca de este producto, y con la locura que hubo con los sets de MUFE me resulta raro. Debo decir que yo tengo los ojos bastante sensibles, y que últimamente los desmaquillantes que estaba utilizando me irritaban mucho los ojos, amén de dejarme el contorno del ojo bastante seco. El truco de este desmaquillante es coger un poco en los dedos y frotarlo en los ojos con cuidado. SE LO LLEVA TODO, chicas, todo! Es increíble. Después de masajearlo lo retiro con agua, y además de llevárselo todo, no deja el contorno reseco, sino muy confortable, para nada graso y no irrita para nada los ojos. Veréis el bote grande en el haul de Madrid :)

I haven't seen many reviews on this product. The MUFE kit that came with the little bottle was a huge success in Spain when Sephora decided to lower the price from 39,90€ to 20€ (which is quite a bargain, since only the mascara costs 21€), so I don't know why I haven't seen it yet in any blog. I must say that my eyes are pretty sensitive and lately the make up removers I was using were irritating them and also leaving the skin around the eyes quite dry. This one takes ALL off. The trick is to put a little between your fingers, massage it gently on the eyes and then rinse it off with water. It leaves the nicest sensation I've ever seen on an eye make-up remover: it's not greasy, it's not dry, it hydrates the skin around the eye...I absolutely love it. You'll see the big bottle in my Madrid haul!

The fine line

La técnica "cut crease" no es de las que más me guste realizar en mí. La verdad es que puede ser un problema para aquellas que como yo, no tienen una cuenca definida, o tienen el párpado caído sobre el ojo. Sin embargo, el otro día vi este vídeo de las Pixiwoo, donde realizan una "cut crease" pero con un detalle que me encantó, y me dije: ¡esto hay que probarlo!

The cut crease isn't one of the techniques I like using on me. The truth is that it can be a problem for those of you who, like me, don't have a defined crease, or their lid hides that space. However, when I saw this Pixiwoo video, where Nic does a cut crease with a little detail I loved, I thought: I must try it!

 Las comparaciones son odiosas :P

Aparte de eso, el look es muy sencillo, de hecho, es que me detuve más en los ojos y ya no me dio tiempo a más :P

Apart from that, the rest of the look is quite simple, just a sweep of bronzer and some lipbalm!

INGLOT Brushes: 4SS & 6SS

¡Hola! Tengo estas dos brochas desde hace bastante tiempo, y la verdad es que, aunque las menciono bastante (porque anda que no habré dado la turra por doquier), nunca las he sacado en condiciones por aquí. Así que hoy os traigo una pequeña review sobre ambas.

Uso prácticamente a diario tanto una como otra. Con esto quiero decir que para mí se han convertido en unas brochas imprescindibles. Ambas son de pelo natural, muy suaves y se nota que están bien hechas. Desde que las tengo no me han perdido ni un solo pelo, prácticamente siguen como el primer día.

Hi everyone! Long time no see :) I've had this brushes for quite long time and despite I'm mentioning them over and over again, I've never got around to write a proper review, so here it is!

I use both of them in a daily basis, I mean, they have became my holy grail brushes or some like that. Both have very soft natural hair bristles and I think they're pretty well made. Since I have them they haven't shed whatsoever.

# 4SS: ésta es la hermana mayor. Podría decirse que es la versión Inglot de la 225 de MAC, que fue descatalogada. Yo le doy bastante uso, sobre todo para aplicar/sellar el corrector, aplicar iluminador tanto crema como polvo e incluso aplicar una sombra color piel por todo el párpado de forma suave. También se puede usar para contornear la nariz, si es que soléis hacerlo, o incluso contornear la cara de forma más precisa.

It's the big sister ;) I'd say it's the Inglot version of MAC's 225 which was discontinued some time ago. I use it mostly to apply, blend and set my concealer, apply highlighter (both cream and powder), apply a basic eyeshadow all over the lid...etc. It also can be used to contour the nose, if you fancy, or even get a precise contour in your face.

# 6SS: vendría a ser algo parecido a la 224 de MAC. Yo la uso para: aplicar/sellar corrector (depende de cuál use y depende de cuál esté limpia uso una u otra indistintamente), aplicar sombra muy suave pero más precisamente que la 4SS, para difuminar, para iluminador queda más "en un punto determinado" pero también se podría usar sin problema...vaya, es que ambas son multiusos y valen para prácticamente las mismas cosas, lo único que cambia es el grado de precisión, a mi modo de ver.

I'd say this is the Inglot version of MAC 224, though I don't own both of them and can't compare. I use it mostly for the same purposes than the other, but with a different degree of precision. Both are VERY multi-tasking (and I love brushes like that a lot).

Perdón por la marca de agua del mango...acababa de lavarla y por lo visto no le sequé bien el mango :P
